Q.  Are you Bonded & Insured?

A.  Ace Payroll carries bonding to protect our clients. While there are no industry regulations requiring this, we opted to obtain bonding to ensure our clients are protected.
 

Q. How long have you been in business?

A. Ace Payroll has been in business since 1994.
 

Q.  Is the Tax Department local?

A.  Our Tax Department is located in New York and the entire staff has access to them, should a client have a need or concern.


Q.  What makes you different from my current provider?

A.  Ace Payroll is one of the larger regional companies nationwide. As a regional company, we tend to be much more flexible regarding our clients’ requests and customization needs. As one of the larger regional companies, we have the resources to meet those needs.

A.  Ace Payroll offers multiple online methods of submitting payroll and obtaining data. Each client is reviewed individually to determine which method would work best to suit their needs.

A.  Unlike many other payroll companies, Ace Payroll assigns a dedicated payroll specialist to your account.

Q.  Can I see samples of our reports?

A.  Yes, you will be able to view and receive samples of your company’s reports.
 

Q.  Can my CPA access the quarterlies online?


A.  Your CPA can be set up with online access in order to be able to see and print quarterlies and payroll reports.
 

Q.  Do you offer Time and Attendance?

A.  Ace Payroll offers a very flexible, yet economical, Time and Attendance product. Employees will have the ability to punch in or out using one of a choice of clocks or web-based entry.
 

Q.  Is your Time and Attendance client service onsite?

A.  All servicing of clients’ needs for Time and Attendance is done out of the same office that handles your payroll processing needs.


Q.   Do you have any disaster recovery plans available?

A.  Ace Payroll has two levels of disaster recovery planned. For a short-term outage, we maintain generators on-site at our facility. Should a long-term event occur, Ace Payroll would move into a separately maintained office, which is set up for such an instance. Our disaster recovery site is kept current with our clients’ data in real time, twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week.


Q.  When is the best time to start?

A.  There is no “best time” to switch payroll providers. No matter when you switch, we simply set up our system with the necessary data, including the year-to-date and quarter-to-date earnings and taxes, and then process your payroll. If the conversion were in the middle of a year, you would get one complete set of W-2’s from us at year-end.
 

Q.  How long does it take to get started?

A.  The time involved in getting started varies depending on the complexities of a client’s needs. However most clients can be started within one to two weeks’ time.
 

Q.  What do I need to get started?

A.  In order to get started, we would just need some basic company information and copies of your payroll records for the current year.


Q.  Can you customize reports for my account? 

A.  Our size and flexibility allows us to customize reports and interfaces in order to help our clients get the most out of our payroll processing system.


Q.  Can I download reports into Excel?

A.  Most of our custom reports can be written in a format easily downloadable to Excel.
